Chanesar Blue (East Zone) beat Colony Star (Central Zone) 3-1 in their All-Karachi Friendship Day & Night Football Tournament (Group A) tie at Golden Star Ground in New Karachi. Two goals from striker Kamal Shah and one from Raseefullah decided the game while Salman scored consolation for Colony Star. From the start of the game, Chanesar dominated with their strikers Kamal Shah, Fareed, and Mehmood Laasi pressurising Colony Star goalkeeper Arsalan Sunny who pulled off some fine saves.
However in 22nd minute, Kamal Shah put Chanesar Blue 1-0 up from a corner kick. 4 minutes later Kamal doubled his tally when he beat two markers before shooting from just outside the penalty area to beat the Colony goalkeeper again in fine style. Just before half time Raseefullah made it 3-0 in 34th minute from a Mehmood Laasi assist.
In second half Colony Star came back into the game determined to overcome the deficit. Their strikers Salman, Tariq Alam, Fareed and Shah Khalid came close to scoring but could not find the back of the net. In 54th minute, Salman scored a consolation goal for Colony Star as Chanesar Blue held on for a comfortable 3-1 win and earned the full 3 points in the process.
Referee was Adnan Khan with assistants Babar Khan and Kaleem Khan and fourth official Saad Kazmi while match commissioner was Abdul Karim (Chairman Referees & Member Central Zone).
