PEL, PTV, Police, PPWD, Railways smash wins

Lahore, 29 Nov: PEL recorded their eleventh win when they routed Baloch FC at Nushki Football Stadium in Pakistan Premier Football League. Riaz Ahmed was their hero with two grilliants goals in the 52 and 68 minute while their leading hitmen from Quetta, striker Sad Ullah raised his tally to nine when he dispatched the third four minutes from time. Meanwhile, Afghan FC were awarded 3-0 walkover win over PAF at Govt High School, Chaman.

Five matches were decided in PFF League. Al Hilal FC, Pakpattan kept their chances alive for Club Super League when they imposed 2-0 win over Islamabad Ravi in  Round One (Group-B) at Govt. MC High School Ground, Arif Wala in Club Phase. Winger Asim Nasir put Al Hilal one up in the 26th minute and substitute midfielder Shahid Gill consolidated the lead in the 77th minute.

In Departmental Phase at Karachi’s Quaid-i-Azam Park ground in Steel Township, PPWD overwhelmed first-timers Gwadar Port Authority 3-2 in Group A while  Pak Police managed 2-1 win over Pakistan Steel. Wasim Abbas opened the gate for Police in the 24th minute but Muhammad Amin landed equalizer in the 69th minute for host. The match winner was netted by Syed Bilal Shah nine minutes from time. PPWD led 2-0 at recess and their’s scorers in 3-2 win were Muhammad Khan 24, Noor Muhammad 28 and Muhammad Atif 71. GPA replied through Wahid Rehman and Tariq Badal in the 46th and 80th minute respectively.

In Group-B at Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad, spearhead Zaheer Abbas was star performer for Pakistani Railways in 4-0 win over Bahawalpur’s  Ashraf Sugar Mills. He steered three goals in 79, 85, 86 minute to accomplish hat trick while Muhammad Afzal added other in the 68th minute. PTV gained full three points with 2-0 win over Najib Ullah Najmi-coached Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited. The scorers for Pakistan Television were Akmal Shahzad (43rd min) and Sana Ullah (87th min).
