Lyari Centre gained their first win of the Karach United Youth Football League 2010 campaign when they beat Korangi Centre 1-0 thanks to a lone goal in the second half from striker Noman Dodo at Baloch Mujahid Stadium after an entertaining game played by both teams. In the first half Korangi started brightly but their strike force of Usman, Noor Alam, Muhammad Younus and Rehan could not get past Lyari goalkeeper Arshad. At half time the score remained 0-0.

Lyari Centre’s coaches from HBL, Sameen Ibrahim and Gulzar Baloch, changed tactics at half time to make their team play attacking football in 2nd half. This tactical change paid dividends when in 43rd minute, Noman Dodo volleyed well after a deflection from Korangi keeper Noman came onto his path from a corner kick. 1-0 to Lyari. Korangi centre’s retaliated with more attacks towards Lyari goal but the Lyari defence of Sajjad, Noman, Waqar and Waqas held firm in the closing minutes of the game as Lyari held on for their first precious 3 points of the KUYFL 2010 campaign. Match referee was Imtiaz Baloch while Match commissioner was Secretary Referees Central Zone, Khalid Majeed.

KUFC Coaching Director Adeel Rizki and Head Coach Arshad Jamal were present for the game. League administrator and veteran football journalist Riaz Ahmed declared Lyari striker and captain Hashim to be man of the match for his leadership and attacking skills throughout the game.
