Lahore, 27 Sep : Opportunist striker Ahmed Zahid turned out to be hero as Model Town Football Academy (MTFA) win two-match challenge series against tourists from Islamabad – National Football Academy at MTFA Ground.
The first match saw Tayyab-led MTFA Tigers defeated NFA White 4-0. The winners routed the oposition with two goals by Ahmed while other netters were Omer Khan and Mustafa. NFA Blue did well to hold MTFA Stags 1-1 in the second match. Naseemuddin-coached MTFA Stags slammed through striker Tayyab but Abbas restored parity three minutes from time for visitiors. Both the matches were supervised by Afzal Bari.
