KARACHI: Habib Bank Limited (HBL) qualified for the quarter-finals when they defeated Karachi Railways 2-0 in their Group D match of the Sardar Abdul Rahim Shaheed Memorial Football tournament being held here at the Gabol Park Ground on Tuesday. Habib Ghulam landed both the goals in the 20th and 36th minute. Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) is the other team which has already made it for the last eight from Group D |

Lahore, 30 July : Pakistan WAPDA, gold medallist in 2006 and silver medalist in 2005,2008, forced their way into the quarter-finals of the sixth National Women Football Championship today at huge Jinnah Stadium, Aabpara, Islamabad. They thrashed Balochistan 3-0 in the replay on Friday morning. |

Lahore, 29 July : The heavy downpour forced the Group-B match between Pakistan WAPDA, gold medallist in 2006 and silver medalist in 2005, 2008, and Balochistan to abandonement in the sixth National Women Football Championship today at huge Jinnah Stadium, Aabpara, Islamabad. Earlier, first timers Peshawar’s Frontier College maintained themselves as "Giant killer" with 1-1 draw against HEC in Group-C at same venue. The League matches will be concluded on 31 July, followed by Quarter-finals on 1, 2 August. The semi-finals are being scheduled for 4 August while third-place match and final will be played on 5 August. |

Lahore, 29 July: Diya Football Club's head Sadia Sheikh has dedicated her team's 2-0 victory over 2005 National Womens Football Champion, Punjab and passage to quarter-final to unfortunate Misha Dawood who was aboard the ill-fated Airblue Flight 202 that crashed in the hills overlooking Islamabad on Wednesday morning. "It’s difficult to think that Misha is no more with me ahd her colleagues. She was one of strongest point in our game plan and strategy," said disappointing Sadia who also went to Jordanian capital of Amman four years ago as official of Pakistan Women Futsal team during Third Women Futsal Championship 2006. |
