QUETTA, March 17, 2017: Chaman and Sibi have qualified for the final round of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017 on the seventh day of the tournament.
In one of the most interesting matches of the qualifying round in district Kalat, Kharan defeated Lasbela with 1-0. The only goal was scored on a penalty by Kharan team. ‘Man of the Match’ Ilyas Baloch along with referees, commentator, organizing committee and members of Balochistan Football Association were given special cash prizes by the former provincial Interior Minister Mir Sohaib Khan Nusherwani.
The match between Chaman and Nuskhi resulted in a draw with 1-1, though Chaman qualified on a better goal average. To qualify for the next level, Nushki will have to go for the play-off match at Quetta.
Match of Qilla Saifullah versus Zhob also resulted in a draw with 2-2. As Inayatullah from Zhob and Sabir Khan from Qilla Siafullah displayed best defensive tactics for their teams, it was decided to declare both the ‘Man of the Match’.
In district Makran, Turbat defeated Panjgur by 1-0. Shabbir Jan of Turbat was declared the ‘Man of the Match’.
The final round will commence from March 20. The event is being organized in collaboration with Government of Balochistan, Pakistan Football Federation and Balochistan Football Association.
