[FPDC Exclusive ] 1st Day of 1st NBP Presidents Cup

1^st NBP Presidents Cup was inaugurated with a colorful ceremony by SVP of National Bank of Pakistan Mudassir Hussain Khan at Benazir Sports Complex KPT in Karachi. By taking the advantage of this opportunity he said National Bank of Pakistan is trying to build a stadium in Karachi if Karachi Metropolitan Corporation provide them the Land. On this occasion Mr. Asad thanked all the teams who are participating in this tournament and also appreciate the role of media persons for their corporation. Around 400-500 people were there to enjoy the opening ceremony.

Two Games were played on the first day of 1^st NBP President Cup. The first game between Pakistan Steel and Karachi United ended 1-0 in the favor of Pakistan Steel. Their forward Ubaid Khan scored the only goal of the match in the 75^th minute of the game and gave their team important 3 points.

The Second game of the day was played between the host Karachi Port Trust and National Bank of Pakistan. Both teams played attacking football from the very first minute but were unable to score goals in the first half. When the second half started the forward of Karachi Port Trust and their Captain Zafar Majeed in 55^th minute scored brilliant goal which made the score 1-0 in the favor of KPT. After the goal KPT continued to attacked and tried to score more but during that National Bank created a great counter attack move and their young forward Waseem Qaqir scored the header to level the score 1-1 which remained till the referee blew the final whistle. After this draw both team shared one point each.

So with this the situation of the Group A is

Pakistan steel with 3 point Played 1 Game, Karachi United 0 Points with 1 game played.. Pakistan WAPDA is in the same group and they will play their first game against Karachi United on 19^th of Jan.

So with this the situation of the Group D is

Both Karachi Port Trust and National Bank of Pakistan secured 1 point from their match today while the third team in the group which is Pakistan Police yet to play their first game.

Tomorrow two games will be played again. First game is between SSGC and Pakistan Navy, The coach of SSGC is Tariq Lutfi who in past also coached KRL and led them to victory three consecutive times of PPL.

According to the reports international footballer and member of the National side Saadullah going to play for SSGC. Second game will be played between Pakistan International Airline and Karachi Electric at 15:00. The star player and Captain of Pakistan National Team Kaleemullah will be in action.
