National U-16 Inter Club Women Football Championship 2014 Rawalpindi is starting today i.e 22nd April 2014.
A media briefing was held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium’s Conference Hall yesterday with Wing Commander(R) Pervaiz Saeed Mir, Director Development & Competitions PFF accompanied by Irfan Niazi, chief organizer of the event.
They shared the details of the event with the media saying that PFF focus on the development of Men and Women Football at Youth Level is very clear. This is the first women football event at this age level which reflects the vision of PFF to engage the youth in football activities.
He thanked the District Sports office at this occasion for supporting the host of the event Young Rising Star Women Football Club Rawalpindi. Madam Tasawwar Aziz, Member Congress PFF and secretary Young Rising Star WFC gave the details of the arrangements for the participating teams. She also appreciated PFF efforts being done for promotion of the football at youth level. At the same time she lauded the support from the district sports office of Rawalpindi for this event.
Match commissioner for the event Mr Islahuddin shared the technical details of the event. Earlier, a Managers meeting was also held in which managers of all participating teams displayed the color and kits of their teams for this championship and PFF informed them about the match fixtures for their respective teams.
