SAMIR NABI has reportedly turned professional at West Bromwich Albion.

The 17-year-old has been with the club from a young age and joins brother Adil, who is also a professional at the Hawthorns.

Adil, who is currently nursing himself back to full fitness after a serious knee injury, tweeted the good news earlier today, saying:

“My Bro turned 17 today what a present by becoming officially a proffessional (sic) footballer at #WBAFC #proudfamily #hardworkpaysoff!!!”

Samir was instrumental in helping West Brom’s U18 team progress in the FA Youth Cup last week with a 2-1 win over Walsall.

And he was involved in the Baggies U21 game with Manchester City in the Barclays U21 Premier League clash on Sunday (15).

Nabi came off the bench in the 18th minute but it was an unhappy game for West Brom, who lost 2-0 thanks to two late goals from City.
