Abdul FC clinch Winning 5 title [DAWN]

LAHORE, Dec 15: Karachi’s Abdul FC were crowned the inaugural champions of the Red Bull Winning 5 Championship after securing back to back wins in the National Finals stage of the event, being held for the first time in the country, on Saturday.

Abdul FC qualified from Karachi after winning the first round of the event and they showed great skill to beat Falcon FC from Islamabad and Lahore’s Hooligans in their matches at the National Finals.

Having beaten Falcon FC in the opening game of the mini-football event which sees two teams of five battle it out with a player from the opposite side being ejected on a goal being scored, Abdul FC showed great team spirit to overcome Hooligans — who had won against Falcon FC in the second match — in the final.

Abdul FC pocketed Rs100,000 for winning the event along with a glittering trophy
