KARACHI: Karachi’s Marta Women FC skipper Nayab Razia has said that women football should be encouraged as the country had immense talent.
“I think we have a lot of talent in women’s football. It needs a little more encouragement,” Nayab told reporters after a practice session of the Marta Women FC here at the Trinity Girls College on Sunday.
“The multinational companies should come forward for supporting the game as without their backing it would be very difficult to make any progress,” said Nayab.
The club’s vice-captain and international player Humaira Nazir stressed that more tournaments of women football should be organised as it was the only way through which progress could be made.
