KARACHI: Pakistan Steel qualified for the ‘Five League Round’ after holding Police to a 1-1 draw in their Group A match of the PFF League (B Division) here at the Steel Town Ground on Monday.
Abdul Wahab opened the scoring for Pakistan Steel in the 26th minute. But Police, who played in the top league last year, brought an equaliser through substitute Mohammad Ammal in the 60th minute. Pakistan Steel, who have also played in the top league, had defeated Pak PWD in their opener the other day.
Meanwhile, in the club leg Afghan Sports FC (Quetta) defeated Eleven Star FC (AJK) in Layyah to take three crucial points. Afghan Sports FC got onto the scoresheet through Mohammad Yaqoob in the 50th minute before Naimatullah doubled their lead in the 85th minute to seal a comfortable victory.
On Tuesday (today), Ashraf Sugar Mills face Pak Afghan Clearing Agency (PACA Chaman) here in Malir.

Meanwhile in the top-division Pakistan Premier Football League, Baloch FC Nushki was once again gifted a 3-0 win after Pakistan Navy forfeited all their Balochistan fixtures due to security concerns and did not travel to Nushki.
With the national team set to come back from their Singapore tour, and with Muharram-ul-Haram under way across the country, PFF has decided to reschedule the remaining PPFL games for re-start on 2 December 2012.
