Usmanabad Union defeated Colony Star (Central) with narrow margin of 2-1 and moved into next round of All Karaci Saqib Kazmi Memorial six a side Flood-lit Football Tournament at U.P. Gymkhana Football Ground, North Karachi here on Sunday 14.10.2012.
Usmanabad Union Striker Amir opened his account in the 7th minute and Jalil doubled the lead just before half time. Shah Khalid reduced the margin for Colony Star but could not level the score and Usmanabad Union maintained their 2-1 up at final whistle and moved into round of 16.
An other encounter Fazal Memorial (Banaras) thrilling win over Young Shaheen (Usmanabad) 2-1. Fazal Memorial both the goals scored in the first half . firsly Asghar took the lead in the 14th minute and Liaquat doubled it in the 20th minute. Fazal Meorial 2-0 up on breather.
Young Shaheen strove hard for equaliser but Fazal Memoriial s defence and goalkeeper Amjad Ali denied them from finding the net. Shahzeb of Young Shaheen reduced the margin by a beautiful header in the dying moment. At final whistle Fazal Memorial went back to pavilion with 2-1 win and into 2nd round.
