KARACHI: Islamabad recorded a 3-1 victory against Army while Young Rising Football Club thrashed Lahore School of Economics 6-0 in 8th National Women Football Championship on Thursday.
Eman, Maira and Mejzgaan scored one goal each for Islamabad while Roshnan Ali scored for Army in the first quarterfinal played at Jinnah Football Stadium in Islamabad.
Sahar Zaman scored a brace to help Rawalpindi-based Young Rising WFC record a thumping triumph against Lahore School of Economic. Nabeela Hashmi, Sana Mahmood, Asmara and Ayaza Waheed scored one goal each.
WAPDA will face Vehari United in the third quarter-final to be played today at Jinnah Football Stadium, Islamabad, while Diya United of Karachi will face Balochistan United of Quetta.
