KARACHI: Army, Islamabad and Young Rising Star won their matches on the first day of the National Women Football Championship at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad on Friday.
Army demolished AJK 10-0 with Sana Gul and Roshnan Ali scoring three goals each. Malaika Ali hit a brace and Arwa Afridi netted one goal for the soldiers.
Islamabad overwhelmed Higher Education Commission (HEC) 4-0 with Eman Ansari and Abiha Haider scoring a brace each.
Rawalpindi’s Young Rising Star crushed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 9-0 with Asmara Habib hitting four and Bushra Jamali landing three goals. Ayeza Wahid and Sehar Zaman struck one goal apiece. Sindh held Lahore School of Economics to a goalless draw.
