GSA D Goal: 2 quarter finalists confirmed

August 8th and 9th saw completion of a friendly, one first round match and finally two second round fixtures. Great Stuff.

1- Gulshan United 3 – 2 Street Kings

Star Performers – Abdullah Ahmed (Gulshan United) – This explosive young talent produced a sparkling comeback and two goals.

In a friendly fixture the two teams played there heart out. Ayub of Street Kings produced two goals and a two nil lead. Then Sherry of Gulshan United started the comeback before two late goals by Abdullah Ahmed clinched a thrilling win. Very close encounter and a good warm up for Street Kings.

2- Street Wizards 8 – 0 Street Kings

Star Performer – Bilal (Street Wizards) – The forward was in dazzling form and produced 4 goals.

In the final first round fixture Street Kings played Street Wizards and missing a couple of regulars Street Kings struggled to keep pace. Faisal and Bilal combined to give the game a 6-0 scoreline. Bilal went on to complete his hatrick and fourth goal in great style sealing progress with an eight nil win. 16 teams completed for the next round.

3- All Stars 3 – 0 Hydrogen FC

Star Performer – Shahrukh Khattak (All Stars) – The youngest D License coach in Gulshan Soccer Academy history is a left footed sharp shooter. His two goals sealed the game. Pic provided.

A blistering start by All stars and a nervous one from Hydrogen FC. The game was secured by an early goal from Shahrukh. The All Stars produced a very solid and controlled performance. The second half was better from Hydrogen and Nabeel continued to penetrate the All Stars defense until a second by Shahrukh sealed the deal. All Stars into the quarters.

4- Shahbaz FC 4 – 3 Steel Town FC

Star Performer-  Imran (Shahbaz FC) – The skill king just entertained the crowd limitless. His Shimmeys, close control and dummies left the crowd crazy. Two goals were handy as well. Pic Provided.

Shahbaz FC boosting attacking talent as six goal hero Abid, bought in an extra talent in Imran, the recent red bull free style quarter finalist. He inspired the team to a two nil lead. Young Kaka also scored for Shahbaz FC. Steel town FC started a little late but produced stunning movement and passing but woeful finishing. The first half ended 3-0 for Shahbaz. In the second things finally started to click for Steel Town FC and they somehow bought things up to 4-3 but Shahbaz FC held on. Shahbaz FC through to the quarters.

Goal Challenge Winner – Imran who is now the most wanted player by the crowd also won the cash goal challenge. Great day for the young man.
