KARACHI: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Army recorded victories in the two Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) matches played at the Jinnah Football Stadium in Islamabad on Sunday.
NBP beat Navy 2-0. The goals for the winners were scored by Waseem Qadir (52nd min) and Atiqullah (71st min).
Army edged out Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) 1-0 with Shakeel Yousuf scoring the lone goal for them in the 71st minute.
In the second division PFF League 2011-12 match , University FC Faisalabad and Wohaib FC Lahore played a goalless draw at the Railway Football Stadium in Lahore. The draw helped Wohaib FC top the PFF League Club Phase to win promotion to PPL 2012 after 4 years in the 2nd division, much to the joy of club supremo Hafiz Salman Butt.
