Mr Ali Askar Lali from Germany, FIFA instructor is conducting the second grassroots football coaching course under programme called “Football Grassroots in Pakistan” at the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) House commencing from 4th October to 8th October, 2011.
According to the press release issued here by PFF, this project is designed to provide psychological relief/ eliminate sufferings of the peoples adversely effected due to floods in the country, make football accessible to those girls and boys, who do not have means to play and develop/boost the game of football at grass root level. The under mentioned participants have been selected for the second course from all over the country possessing requisite knowledge of the game.
The thirty five selected participants are: Ms. Shazia Akhter, Ms. Aroosa Talib, Ms. Zahida Parveen, Ms. Shaista Lashari, Mr. Fida Hussain, Mr. Abdul Hafeez, Mr. Faiz Muhammad, Mr. Qaisr Ali, Mr. Imran Jabbar, Mr. Maqsood Sadiq, Mr. Amir Ali Qureshi, Mr. Muhammad Ijaz, Mr. Farrukh Javed, Rao Abdul Qadoos, Mr. Zahid Shaheen, Mr. Saif Ullah, Mr. Sohail-ur-Rehman, Mr. Asadullah, Syed Irshad Ali Shah, Mr. Javed Ali Somroo, Mr. Altaf Ahmed, Mr. Azeem Khan, Syed Asmat Ullah, Mr. Yasrab Nawaz, Mr. Shafqat Ullah, Mr. Javed Iqbal, Mr. Fazal Wahid, Mr. Ghullam Rasool, Mr. Riaz Ahmed, Mr. Niaz Ahmed, Mr. Ghulam Nabi, Mr. Abdul Rashid, Mr. Nida Muhammad, Mr. Omer Farooq Khan, and Mr. Muhammad Ayaz.
It will not be out of place to mention here that on the conclusion of the first football course a football grassroots festival was organized by PFF at Punjab Football Stadium where over 145 boys under the age of 11 years played football to the delight of their parents and a large gathering of peoples which was applauded by all and sundry. A mela like festival with colorful balloons and buntings adorned the field which greatly lifted the gloom of the peoples of Lahore who enjoyed it thoroughly.
General Secretary PFF, Lt. Col. ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi thanked all the participants of 1st Football Grassroots Course and wished that they will transferred their knowledge among the participants of football for hope clinics being arranged by PFF/FIFA in the flood affected areas in near future.
