GSA D-Goal restarts after heavy rains

Tournament Kicks off again with Young Stars doing the unthinkable

16th August Tuesday, the tournament restarted after losing 3 days due to rain in Karachi. The GSA management worked relentlessly to make sure the court is available for use for three more matches.

In the first match, the young Burning Spurs were pitted against experienced Lazy Boys. The young spurs stunned the crowd under dynamic captain Ahmed Raza, as Kamran Soorty scored. The shock was enough for the Lazy boys as Maisam Raza also known as Messi equalized before giving his side the lead. A third from Talha “Terry” of GSC club made the final score 3-1.

In the second match, tournament Favorites and two time winners Barca sent out a young line up for the first round. They were soon regretting the decision as Young Stars forward Mohammad Hussain scored early. The game was equalized by Jamshed Baloch in the first half. Finally the Young Stars started to put together pass after pass and eventually scored the winner in the second half through Abdul Razzak, to win the match 2-1. Stunning result thanks to the non stop passing rhythm of Young Stars.

The third fixture saw old boys Aziz Sports battle the youngsters of Devillions FC. The match was expected to be dominated by Aziz Sports and they did not disappoint. Attack after another and by the second half it was 3-0 thanks to Afzal Khan’s 3 goals.
