NUFC defeated Sixteen Star 3-1 in the penalties despite dominating the game. In the first match it was NUFC dominating from the start and Arif scored to give the NUFC side lead only for a well taken equalizer from Shahzaib. In the second half more pressure from NUFC resulted in the second from Alam but the game took a dramatic turn as the last chance of the game created a free kick for Sixteen Star which was converted by Shahid in superb style. Finally the luck favored the brave as NUFC edged it on penalties by 3-1. It was 2-2 in regular time.
In the second encounter the young All Stars Malir took on the favorites Galacticos and soon as it started an early goal from Mudassir Sabir set the tone for the Galacticos. The second half also started like the first and Zahid Iqbal rounded off the last man to make it 2-0. The Galacticos made the mistake of counting out the youngsters but they responded by two goals in two minutes by Talha Zuberi and Saad Ali made it 2-2 and another penanty shoot out was held. Experience prevailed in the penalties as the brave All Stars Malir got knocked out 3-1 in penalties.
The Third encounter started off interesting but soon Bafana scored through dynamic Gulshan Soccer Club winger Kashif Zafar. The Super Six side did try to respond but soon the hold got stronger and Bafana ran out comfortable winners in defence of there title as they are defending champs. Kashif Zafar scored twice and Obaid put forward a very good showing for the Super Six side.
The last encounter deep into the night was the ultimate showdown between two Gulshan Rivals. Young Khans and All Stars Gulshan were to battle. It was a battle indeed as Humaidi opened the scoring for the Khans only for Shahrukh of Gulshan Soccer Club fame equalize. The second half was one way traffic as Mukhtar Yaqoobi controlled the game and Humaidi completed his hatrick followed by Mukhtar scoring to give the final score of 4-1 in favor of the Young Khans.
