PMC announce LOC for 2011 National Challenge Cup

4 April: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)’s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has approved Local Organization Committee (LOC) for 21st NBP National Football Challenge Cup (NFCC) at Faisalabad. Sixteen teams are being called to show their mettle as Tier One team PMC Athletico Club Faisalabad, also Congress member, earned the hosting rights and will run the event from 14-27 April 2011.

Faisalabad Commissioner Syed Tahir Hussain Shah will act as LOC Chairman while DCO Faisalabad Naseem Sadiq will act as LOC Vice Chairman. According to PMC’s Chief Organizing Secretary Rai Saif Ur Rehman Bhatti, former Youth International, PMC’s Secretary Chaudhry Khalil Ahmed will perform duty as Coordinator while PMC also announced 25 members to tackle the historical tourney in befitting manner viz Haji Muhammad Shafiq, Mian Zubair Anwar, Mujahid Ayub Butt, Mian Riffat Zia, Mahar Shafqat Ullah, Col ® Ejaz Ul Haq, Aslam Butt, Haji Muhammad Irshad, Mian Saleem, Zahid Iqbal Niazi, Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Mian Illyas, Muhammad Amir, Rai Iqbal Anjum, Fazal Ameer, Rai Hayat Khan, Mirza Tahir, Liaquat Rahim, Rana Gohar Hayat, Rana Asif Naveed, Asmat Ullah, Naeem Wahid, Sarfraz Ahmed Bajwa plus representative of SP Security and EDO Health.

“All concerned PMC cells and individuals from various other cells are requested to put their efforts with hard working and imbibed with the zeal to serve the nation during the Challenge Cup in a befitting manner for the uplift of soccer in the country and sports promotion Pakistan. The event will also be launching pad for Qualifiers of 20th World Cup at Brazil, 19th World U20 Cup at Turkey and 15th World U17 Cup at UAE 2013 ” said Faisal who is also Chairman AFC Legal Committee plus AFC Executive Committee Member, FIFA and World Disciplinary Committee member and Chairman AFC Disciplinary Committee.

The 16 participants for NFCC 2011 will be titlist Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), National Champions Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Pakistan Army, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Pakistan Navy, Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), Habib Bank Limited (HBL), Pakistan Television (PTV), Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Police, Pakistan Railways, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, Ashraf Sugar Mills and host PMC Athletico Club Faisalabad.
