Lahore vs Faisalabad in Punjab Games football final

Lahore Division and Faisalabad Division entered the final of the Punjab Games football tournament held at Raiders Ground in Faisal Town, Lahore.

In first semi-final, Lahore beat Multan Division 4-2. Goals from Fahad Tariq (3′ and 35′), Umair Ali (20′) and Adnan Kashif (72′) helped Lahore, while Multan’s scorers were Ashfaq (40′) and Imran (65′). The game was marred by both teams going down to 10 men in 85th minute when referee Irfan sent off Lahore captain Qayyum Furqan and Multan defender Imran for rough tackling each other successively.

In 2nd semi-final, Faisalabad Division beat Sahiwal Division 2-1 to reach the final.

The Punjab Games football final will be held tomorrow (9 April 2011) at 11 AM at Raiders Ground between the two winning semi-finalists while Bronze medal match between Multan and Sahiwal will be played earlier at same venue.
