Syed Akber Ali Wahidi, renowned football statistician, journalist and the PFF Media Manager and head of PFF Media Cell for many years, passed away this morning (25 April 2011) because of sudden ill health whilst covering the 21st NBP National Football Challenge Cup 2011 in Faisalabad.
We at FootballPakistan.Com (FPDC) have nothing but immense respect for this lover of football, and one of our earliest friends since the inception of our website back in 2003. Our Webmaster, Malik Riaz Hai Naveed, personally knew Akber Wahidi for over 10 years and all of us at FPDC feel shocked by his sudden demise.
