Lahore, 25 Feb : Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)’s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has approved Sardar Naveed Haider Khan and Syed Akber Ali Wahidi as Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively of the Media Committee of Pakistan-Palestine Lahore Test at Punjab Stadium on Tuesday, 1 March 2011 ( 7 PM). The members of Committee will be Shahid Khokhar and Manzoor Ali Arif. Sports Journalists Association of Lahore (SJAL)’s President Amir Raza Khan, General Secretary Muhammad Babar and other prominent mediamen Asher Butt, Yousuf Anjum, Aqeel Ahmed and Ejaz Sheikh will represent Lahore-based SJAL in the Committee.
President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has also approved Model Town Football Academy (MTFA)’s President Mian Rizwan Ali to act as Match Commissioners for Lahore Test of Pakistan-Palestine Football Series, slated to run on 1 March 2011 at Punjab Stadium, Ferozpur Road (7 PM). Mian Rizwan won the heart of PFF management last year when he topped PFF Match Commissioner Workshop at Lahore in Non-FIFA Referee segment.
Rizwan, manager of PFF XI during First E.K.Nayanar Memorial International Gold Cup 2007 at Municipal Jawahar Stadium, Kannur (Kerala), thanked PFF Chief for reposing confidence on him. ” Under dynamic leadership of PFF’s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, the soccer activity had geared up to such an extent in every nook of the country that more and more departmental/club teams are emerging like PEL, PMC while teams like PIA, Pak Steel, SGP returned back to football arena and ELBA’s inclusion will promote football in Lahore and surrounding areas,” said Rizwan who also showed his class as brilliant Match Commissioner in Pakistan Premier League 2006, 2008 and 2010. He was also Chief Organiszer of National event’s under PFF banner – 19th National U18 Championship 2007 and 11th National U13 Festival of Football 2009.
Lahore-born Rizwan, liaison officer of Jordan, Singapore and Bahrain during qualifiers of 14th Asian Cup 2006 and 29th Olympic Games 2007. He is also manager of Elba Pure Water that used to play PFF League. Rizwan is currently head of six classes in the MTFA family viz Model Town Club, Model Town Academy,Women Wing of Acedemy, Model Town United FC, Model Town Football Referees Academy (Male/Female).
