Palestine football team training rained off at MTFA

Lahore, 26 Feb: Palestine football team’s eleven players and five officials failed to get the football activity on Saturday when heavy rain disturbed their Training Session at Model Town Football Academy Ground meanwhile Pakistan team had to involve in Training Session at Johar Town’s UMT Football Academy. Both the Academies are at Lahore and under the custody of  famous soccer promoter Mian Rizwan Ali who is also Lahore Test Match Commissioner and President of both Academies. Palestice 16-person batch reach Lahore today while other 13 persons will join the Palestine squad on Sunday. Press Briefing of the team will be held at FIFA house at 1 PM on 27 February, Sunday.



Earlier, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)’s Secretary General Lt.Col ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, Director Marketing Sardar Naveed Haider,
Liaison Officer of Palestine team Irfan Khan Niazi, PFF Director Administration Major ® Jahangir Khan Lodhi, Manager Administration Muhammad Khalil welcomed the team at Airport.

Palestine’s goalkeeper Saed Abu Sleem (Markaz Balatah), defenders Ahmed Harbi Mahajna (Markaz Shabab Al-Am’ari),  Mohammed Al-Masri (Shabab Al-Thahriyeh),  Khaled Mahdi (Markaz Shabab Al-Am’ari), midfielders  Ayman Alhendi (Shabab Khalil), Houssam Wadi ( Jabal Al-Mokaber), Suleiman Obeid (Markaz Shabab Al-Am’ari), Ashraf Alfawaghra (Wadi Al-Neiss), Atef Abu Bilal (Shabab Al-Thahriyeh), Ismail Amour (Jabal Al-Mokaber), striker Eyad Abugharqud (Markaz Shabab Al-Am’ari) failed to show their style at MTFA while other players to reach Lahore on Sunday will be goalkeepers Mohammed Shbair (Shabab Al-Khalil), Abdullah Saidawi (Hilal Al-Quds), defenders Samer Hijazi (Jabal Al-Mokaber), Husam Abu Saleh (Hilal Al-Quds), midfielders Murad Said (Hilal Al-Quds), Hesham Salhe (Hilal Al-Quds), Khader Yousef (Wadi Al-Neiss) and strikers Mohammed Jebreen (Shabab Al-Bireh), Mohammed Shatrit (Shabab Al-Khalil) and Jamal Allan (Hilal Al-Quds).

The Administrative and Technical Staff of Paletine team is consist of eight persons of which Mahmoud Alfasfous ( Manager), Ali Abdrabou ( GK Coach),  Ould  Noureddine (Physical Trainer),  Mohammed  Khawaja (Equipment man), Mustafa Meshaati (Physio) had reached Lahore while arrival of Mohammed Abu Srour ( Head of Delegation), Bezaz  Moussa (Coach) and Raed Issa (Journalist) is awaited.

    Palestine team arrives in Lahore

    KARACHI: The first batch of the Palestine football team arrived in Lahore on Saturday to play two test matches of the four-match bilateral series against Pakistan.

    Eleven players and five officials of Palestine were extended warm welcome at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) officials, also including the secretary of the PFF Col Ahmad Yar Khan Lodhi.

    The liaison officer of the Palestine team and former Pakistan football team manager Irfan Niazi told ‘The News’ from Lahore that the next batch of the visitors including ten players and two officials are scheduled to land in the Punjab capital on Sunday (today).

    He said that the Palestine team has been boarded in Park Plaza and their the coach, captain and chef de mission will hold a press conference at 1:00pm at the FIFA Football House in Lahore on Sunday. The team will also practice at the Punjab Stadium at 4:00pm.

    As per the itinerary, at 1:30pm on Monday, the managers’ meeting will be held at Park Plaza, followed by training of the tourists at 6:30pm at the Punjab Stadium and official dinner in the honour of the team at the Football House at 8:00pm.

    Chef de mission, coach, captain of the tourists and coach and captain of the Pakistan team will appear in a live programme Meena Bazaar of the Pakistan Television (PTV) at 8:30am on Monday. The first Test match is at the Punjab Stadium on March 1 at 7:00pm.
