Lyari Town cut Bihar to size 4-0

Lahore, 14 Jan:  Lyari Town outclssed Bihar Colony 4-0 in Group D of  PFF-KESC Lyari Football League 2011 at Kalakot’s Shaheed Abdul Rehman Park, Lyari Town, Karachi. After completion of three matches in Group-D, Lyari Town managed six, Bihar Colony collected three points while Khada and Bela are yet to open their account.

Lyari Town faced no resistance from tenacious Bihar Colony, the 14-1 winners over Khada four days ago, and Lyari’s skipper Muneer Aftab opened the scoring in the 10th minute when he utilized penalty kick. Winger Zohaib Nisar made it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Lyari led 2-0 at interval and addd two more in the second session through midfielder Muhammad Tanveer 56th and full back Najeeb Ahmed 70+3 minutes. Later on former Pakistani skipper Ghulam Sarwar awarded lovely PFF Shield to Man of the Match Najeeb Ahmed.

The match was supervised by Muhammad Jalal under Match Commissioner Yaqoob Baloch. The assistants were Abdul Karim, Farid Ahmedand  Muhammad Yasin.

Earlier, in  Group-C, Kalakot struck precious second session goal to beat stubborn Balochistan’s Uthal 1-0. Spearhead Muhammad Nauman struck lone goal in the 59th minute. It was second straight win for Kalakot. Uthal played brilliantly in the first session with their keeper Naveed Ahmed put up fine display under the  bar to get Man of the Match Award. Kalakot secured six points in Group-C, followed by Uthal and Agra Taj with one point, while Daryabad are still pointless.
