Karachi United School Championship 2010-11: Aga Khan School qualify for quarter-finals after second win

The 6th KUSC 2010-11 saw 4 games being decided at Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi. Aga Khan Secondary School overcame fellow Group ‘A’ rivals St. Michaels’ Convent School with a narrow 1-0 win to qualify for quarter-finals after their second consecutive win. Aftab Alam scored the deciding goal in 24th minute. The result leaves Aga Khan School confirmed in top-2 position with 6 points from 2 games with 1 round of group games remaining.

In Group ‘B’, KGS beat Beachonhouse Gulshan comfortably with a 3-0 score with goals from Moiz Farooqi, Mustafa Shahbaz, and Shazar Razi. In other Group ‘B’ game Bayview High School overcame City School Darakhshan in an exciting 3-2 scoreline. Bayview had a brace from Shabbir Bandooqwala and winner from Huzaifa Saleem to thank for, while Shah Mir Faheem and Mohtashim scored for TCS Darakhshan. The results leave KGS and Bayview High on 3 points each from 1 round of games played.

The all-Beaconhouse clash between Jubilee and PECHS campuses in Group ‘C’ saw Jubilee easily overcome PECHS a resounding 4-0 thanks to goals from Zain Ali, Shahzeb, Hammad Athar, and Hassan Ghaffar. The result leaves both teams on 3 points each after 2 games played.
