PFF embrace 13th FIFA Fair Play Day with style

Lahore, 10 September : “Winning is without value if victory has been achieved unfairly or dishonestly. Cheating is easy, but brings no pleasure. Playing fair requires courage and character. lt is also more satisfying. Fair play always has its reward, even when the game is lost. Playing fair earns respect, while cheating only brings shame. Remember : it is only a game . And games are pointless unless played fairly,” this is stated by Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)’s General Secretary Lt. Col ® Ahmed Khan Yar Lodhi during 13th FIFA Fair Play Day match at Model Town Football Academy Ground last night as organizers devoted MTFC-MTFA match which had the touch of FIFA Fair Play requirements. PFF’s Director Operation Wng Cmdr ® Pervaiz Saeed Mir, National Coach George Kottan, MTFA’s President Mian Rizwan Ali were also present on this occasion.

PFF’s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, in his message, said : “Football is the world’s greatest game. But it always needs everybody’s help to maintain its greatness. Think of football’s interests before your own. Think how your actions may affect the image of the game. Talk about the positive things in the game. Encourage other people to watch and play fairly Help others to have as much fun from football as you do. Be an ambassador for the game.”

All the Provincial Association celebrated the FIFA Fair Play Day. Punjab Football Association celebrated the Day during Lahore United and Sabzazar’s Roma match of All Punjab Peace and Non Violence Football Cup. NWFP FA organized match between Brothers FC and Kickers FC at Lala Dawood Stadium, Wazir Bagh, Peshawar City that saw former winning by 1-0 with striker Khurshid Ali getting 55th minute winner.

Former Balochistan Football Association (BFA)’s Chairman Sher Ali Shahwani was chief guest at Sariab’s Shahwani Stadium, Kachee Baig, Quetta when Baloch Club overwhelmed Sariab Sports 3-0. The match, arranged by BFA’s current President Mir Jan Muhammad Marri, saw famous Technical officials Muhammad Dawood, Saeed Shah, Jahangir Khan (FIFA), Abdul Samad, Muhammad Afzal and Muhammad Saeed supervising the match.
