PFF Congress on Wednesday

Lahore, 23 June 2009 : The Vision Asia Project, introduction of the men’s inaugural National Futsal Championship and National School Football Championship will be analyzed when the Congress of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), chaired by President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, will convene in Lahore’s FIFA Football House on Wednesday, 24 June for its first of the two meeting of the year. “The agenda features a wide range of topics, including discussions on the AFC and PFF competitions that have taken place from January-June 2009 and those to come in the future, as well as the football activities related to eight member associations,” said PFF Secretary General Lt.Col ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi who added that 1.30 PM Congress will be preceded by Executive Committee (EXCO) Meet at 11 AM.

Following the entrance of Pakistan in Asian Youth Championships of U16 and U19, 11th South Asian Games and WAPDA earning semi-final berth in 5th AFC President’s Cup, the House will be given an update on the current status of preparations for the coming assignments.

House is to focus on improving its administration, strengthening clubs and boosting development as part of the Vision Pakistan project to raise the standard of football in the country. In addition, the members will receive an update on the preparations for the domestic events Pakistan Premier League, PFF Leagues and National events under the age of 16, 19 and Women’s second Club Championship and 5th National Women Championship.

There will be reports on the Prime Minister Cup (Kathmandu), second AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers (Sri Lanka), the AFC U13 Festival of Football in Iran and Pakistan WAPDA’s superb rhythm at AFC President’s Cup (Nepal) will also be reviewed.

Information will be provided on the various standing committee meetings that have taken place since the 20 December 2008 meeting of the PFF Executive Committee.

Finally, a number of medical and construction matters have also been tabled, such as those relating to MRI in order to make sure eligible players for Age-Group competitions and Football Houses at Peshawar and Karachi. The bidding procedure for the coming AFC/SAFF events will also be discussed
