FIFA snub Arshad’s allegations on PFF President

Lahore, 18 July : FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) has rejected all the allegations put up by former Pakistan Football Federation’s Secretary General Arshad Khan Lodhi, and has assured full support to PFF President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat for his phenomenal achievements and un-precedented efforts for the promotion of football in Pakistan.

FIFA, in an email sent to PFF Secretariat, has thanked Faisal Saleh Hayat for sending them comprehensive report on all the false, baseless and frivolous allegations of Arshad Lodhi and assured PFF that these contentions stand rejected, once and for all, in the favor of PFF.

FIFA has also felicitated and congratulated Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat for his re-election as PFF President in the forthcoming elections.

The Zurich-based world soccer ruling body also hailed PFF’s decision of imposing 10-year ban on Arshad Lodhi for holding any office of football Association/federation and taking part in any football activity, for violating PFF Code of Conduct and Discipline.

Having composed of 208 member associations, FIFA also praised the following historic decisions and actions taken by PFF.

1. Removal of politics from the game of football and emphasis on fairplay, merit and discipline.

2. Ratification of PFF Constitution.

3. Appointment of full time General Secretary.

4. Holding of transparent PFF Elections 2007 as per PFF Constitution approved by FIFA.
